Samsung Laser Printers - How to Install Drivers/Software Using the Samsung Printer Software Installers for Mac OS X
The Samsung Printer Software Installer is a web-based installer that will download and install the printer drivers and software needed for the Samsung printer currently connected.

If you have not installed the print driver yet, go to Software and Driver Downloads and type your printer model into the search text box to download the latest driver.

Once the Installer opens, click the Mac OS X icon if your operating system is Mac OS X 10.5 or higher.
Mac OS X
Select your type of installation, and follow the appropriate steps:
USB connection
To install a USB connected printer, use the following steps.
1. After downloading the printer installer package, open the Samsung Printer Installer folder, and then double-click the Samsung Printer.pkg file.

2. After the Mac OS X installer opens, check I Have reviewed and accept the installation agreements to continue installation, and then click Next.

3. Select USB and click Next.

4. Turn on the printer and make sure the printer is connected to the computer using a USB cable. Once connected, selecte Next.

5. The software searches for all the software needed. Select all the software and drivers that need to be installed, and then click Next.

6. User password may be required to continue, enter the password, and then click OK. The password is the same one used when logging onto the computer.

7. The selected software will be downloaded and installed automatically. The download speed depends on the internet connection.
NOTE: If the downloads fail, check the internet connection and then restart the Samsung Printer Software Installer.
8. Click Finish to close the Samsung Printer Software Installer.

The printer shows in the Devices and Printers list after the installation is complete. To see additional software for printers, go to Software and Driver Downloads and enter your model printer into the search text box to download the latest driver.
Network connection
To install a network connected printer, use the following steps.
1. After downloading the printer installer package, open the Samsung Printer Installer folder, and then double-click the Samsung Printer.pkg file.

2. After the Mac OS X installer opens, check I Have reviewed and accept the installation agreements to continue installation, and then click Next.

3. Select Network and click Next.

4. Select Yes, I will set up my printer's network. For initial setup or to change the printer network configuration, then click Next to continue.

5. Make sure the printer is relates to an ethernet cable to a router and click Next to continue.

Samsung Printer Software Installers for Mac OS X
6. The installer searches for all printers connected. Select the desired printer to be installed, and then click Next.

7. The software searches for all the software needed. Select all the software and drivers that need to be installed, and then click Next.

Wireless network connection
To install a wireless printer via USB connection, use the following steps.
NOTE: Make sure the printer is connected to the computer with a USB cable connection before proceeding with installation.
1. After downloading the printer installer package, open the Samsung Printer Installer folder, and then double-click the Samsung Printer.pkg file.

2. After the Mac OS X installer opens, check I Have reviewed and accept the installation agreements to continue installation, and then click Next.

3. Once the Software License Agreement opens, click Continue.

4. Select Using a USB cable, and then click Next to continue.

5. Make sure the Printer and computer are connected using the USB cable, and then click Next to continue.

6. The installer searches for any wireless networks. Select the correct network, and then click Next to continue.

7. Enter the wireless network password, and then click Next, once finished. If you do not know the network password, contact the internet service provider to get that information.

8. The wizard connects the printer to the network. If the printer fails to connect, make sure the computer is connected to the same network the printer is trying to connect to.

9. Set the Wi-Fi Direct Feature. Turn the feature on or off, and then click Next to continue.

10. Select all the software and drivers that need to be installed, and then click Next to continue.
